Local credit unions usually offer better customer service and we have experienced this with credit unions in Kansas (Garden City Teachers Credit Union) and Southern California (Schools First Federal Credit Union). Launch Credit Union (federal) is no different. Launch customer service cares about their members and offers great solutions. When we requested more information about Launch Credit Union the president, Joe Mirachi reached out connecting us to a loan originator. Good customer service usually starts at the top, and when upper management reaches out to a realtor asking lending questions you can bet their staff cares about their customers. Joe Mirachi connected us with Tiffany, a loan originator. Tiffany explained that the bank holds all loans and some of the benefits of working with Launch. We found the following programs to be very interesting.
Launch - Home Loans for as little as 3% Down
This program is a credit union program which means it isn't an FHA loan. If you are interested you should call the credit union for details.
Launch - No Closing Cost Mortgage Option
This program is designed to save money on the loan. Many people forget that closing costs can be very expensive and buying points only benefits the lender. Launch Credit Union's no closing costs can save buyers thousands of dollars. There is fine print so please be sure to ask lots of questions when speaking with the loan originator, but this program is definitely something to check out.
